In 2010, a trio of bloggers organized Blog Bash in an effort to provide a free meal for bloggers venturing to Washington, D.C. for the Conservative Political Action Conference. Six years later, Blog Bash has evolved into one of the most anticipated events surrounding the conference.
Still Going Strong in 2015
On February 26, 2015, Blog Bash will return to National Harbor, Md. The 2015 event will bring some exciting changes that we look forward to unveiling in the coming days — including a new location for Blog Bash and a theme for the evening, which is a subject close to the hearts of all who blog.
However, Blog Bash will still be the same great celebration and networking event that recognizes the hard work of bloggers and those who support work of the conservative blogosphere.
Still Organized by Bloggers for Bloggers
Blog Bash also remains a volunteer-driven event organized for bloggers by bloggers. Original Blog Bash co-founders, Melissa Clouthier and Ali Akbar, return this year as hosts. They are joined by two of 2014’s hosts — Julie Germany and Erik Telford — to help plan the festivities. Long-time Blog Bash volunteer and attendee, Adrienne Royer, will serve as the director. She’s been the one hovering in the background for the past few years holding a clipboard and drink tickets.
You won’t want to miss the annual blogger family reunion so make sure to save the date for the evening of Thursday, February 26, 2015!
